What Are the Precautions When Installing the Metal Compensator?

1. The two interfaces or flange lines should be kept on the same axis, and the coaxiality error should be ±5mm. When the amount of lateral compensation is too large, the compensator should be pre-displaced according to the requirements of the construction drawings.

 

2. The torsion angle deviation is not more than 2.5'.

 

3. The installation length deviation of the compensator is ±5mm.

 

4. It is not allowed to use the deformation of the metal compensator (including compression, stretching, torsion, etc.) to forcibly adjust the installation error of the piping system during installation.

 

5. To prevent the impact of heavy objects or sharp angles of metal from piercing the telescopic body (metal bellows) of the metal compensator, the metal telescopic body should be protected for on-site installation and construction to prevent welding spatter from damaging the telescopic body (metal bellows).

 

6. It is not allowed to strike arc or knock on the metal compensator.

 

7. When installing, make the flow direction mark on the metal compensator consistent with the flow direction of the medium in the pipeline.

 

8. It is forbidden to use transportation tie rods and tie rods as lifting load-bearing parts.

 

9. The lifting of a metal compensator with a cross-sectional area of more than 1M should be uniformly stressed, otherwise uneven force will cause serious deformation and warpage of the metal compensator, affecting installation and damaging internal structural parts.

 

10. After the compensator is installed, remove the transportation fixing screw, limit plate and pipeline internal substance with yellow marks.

 

11. In order to prevent excessive dust accumulation in the corrugation from affecting the service life, the dust discharge port at the lower end should be opened every three months to discharge the dust.
